Red Ribbon Week

Red Ribbon Week

Wilson Elementary  - Red Ribbon Week
"Drug free looks like me."

October 25-29, 2021

  • Monday, October 25: Use your head to make choices that keep you healthy and safe!
    • Wear a hat to school to show that you use your head to make safe and healthy choices, even when those around you don’t! If someone tries to pressure you into making a poor choice, be yourself and say no! Wear a Wilson shirt to show that at Wilson we support each other.

  • Tuesday, October 26: Be yourself from head to toe!
    • Wear a crazy hairdo and crazy socks. Our brains, bodies and feelings are all important. Try new things, read a good book, eat healthy, exercise, show kindness, and be a good friend! The nutrition department will pass out apples!
  • Wednesday, October 27: Celebrate being drug free!
    • Wear as much RED as possible! We will have a Neighborhood Walk along Coppell Road at  8:00 a.m. Each class will carry a poster that celebrates being drug free. Parents, please bring your noisemakers and come celebrate with us at the intersections of Coppell Rd. and Greenwich Ln./Halifax Dr./Oak Grove Ln./Golden Triangle or in the park at the corner of Sandy Lake and Coppell Rd.!

  • Thursday, October 28: Celebrate being yourself by doing what you enjoy!
    • Wear something that represents an activity you enjoy(a sport, fine arts, a hobby, etc.).
  • Friday, October 29: Admire people who have confidence in themselves and make healthy choices!
    • Dress up as a book character whom you respect and admire because they are confident in themselves and they make healthy choices. Bring the book if you have it!
